There are some musics that don’t belong to any box, and it’s precisely here that MIEL makes its home. Soul, R&B, funk, disco, house: not a playlist, but a territory, that of groove in all its states, from all its eras. His ear is formed at the school of in-betweens: pieces that hesitate between jazz and house, between soul and electro, between yesterday and now. She likes artists who don’t choose, and her sets bear the mark of it, a fluidity that makes you travel without knowing exactly when you changed decade. Co-organizer of La Groove Therapy in Nantes, she also built a space to share this conviction: the groove has no age, and the best dancefloors are those where generations mix as much as styles.
